Bacterial Cystitis Treatments
There are treatments that can cure bacterial cystitis, although some people may experience recurring attacks.
You may asked by your medical practitioner to provide a mid-stream urine sample. Normally your doctors’ surgery or clinic will give you a sterile container to collect this sample in.
To collect a mid-stream sample you need to start to pass urine, as normal, then stop mid flow and collect the specimen, then finish passing urine into the lavatory.
Your doctor or nurse may test your specimen at the surgery or clinic, however they may feel it necessary to send it to a laboratory for analysis.
